  • The streamline of Aniplex news continues to spew out from our press HQ, and this time we have an announcement for you Oreimo fans out there. The team announced today that both Oreimo and Oreimo 2 will be coming to Blu-ray for the first time.
  • Both seasons of the beloved, fan-favorite sibling romantic comedy will be released on 2 Blu-ray Box Sets this year, giving fans the first chance to own the complete series on Blu-ray. Aside from episodes #1-12, the Oreimo Complete Blu-ray Box Set will include the 4 OVA episodes, including episode #12.5 TRUE ROUTE. The Oreimo 2 Complete Blu-ray Box Set will include all 13 episodes of the second season, the 3 OVA episodes, and the “Gal-ge” short movies. Both Blu-ray Box Sets will come with special illustration cards and a package designed by Original Illustrator Kanzakihiro. Oreimo 1 will be released on May 29, 2018, and Oreimo 2 will be released August 21, 2018. Preorders begin on March 2.
  • For those wondering, Oreimo made waves in the otaku community with its endearing portrayal of the otaku lifestyle told by an ensemble of hilarious yet relatable characters. The series inspired its own manga, drama CDs, multiple video games with alternate endings, and even a partnership with Chiba Urban Monorail that decked out a Japanese monorail in full fanfare to promote the second season. Oreimo received the highly-anticipated anime adaptation in October 2010 and after overwhelming demand, a second season was greenlit, and the second season, Oreimo 2 began airing April 2013. About Oreimo

Oreimo is an adaptation of Tsukasa Fushimi’s light novel series Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. The popular comedic novel series-turned hit anime originally aired in 2010 in Japan. The story follows the daily life of an ordinary high school boy named Kyousuke Kousaka. Kyousuke’s younger sister Kirino is a pretty fashion model, but also hides a dark secret of being an otaku of adult games. Kyousuke is the only person to whom Kirino reveals her hidden obsession and other issues. Since its debut, the popularity of Oreimo has grown on a global scale.
