What You Need to Know:
- Starting with Osomatsu-san, then the recent announcements about Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko and Bonobono, it seems that a lot of classic anime series are making a comeback.
- The most recent of which is Shounen Ashibe, a manga adaptation which was first animated back in 1991. The story follows elementary school boy Ashibe Ashiya and his everyday life with his pet sea lion, Goma-chan.
- The new version, called Shounen Ashibe: Go! Go! Goma-chan, will begin airing on April 5, with each episode being 9 minutes long. It will be directed by Nobuhiro Kondou (Jewelpet Magical Change) with series composition by Toshimitsu Takeuchi (Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold). The producer will be Bridge.
- We'll be back with more information as soon as it's released, but for now, check out the new visual below!

Reactions Around the Web
Aren't they bringing back too many old anime?
I wonder how this will turn out... Will it just be a straight-up re-animation?
Ahh, Goma-chan!! So cute!
No way!! I'll definitely be watching this.
I wonder if they'll bring back the original voice acting cast?
Another re-animation?! Seriously?
I wonder if Osomatsu-san's popularity started off this trend...
