Well, it seems like Yukio has one worry off his shoulder. The test results prove that Yukio isn’t like his brother Rin and is a human. However, Yukio does have a strange power that allows him to be resilient to Rin’s blue flame and his left eye acts as a medium for Father. As Yukio deals with the realization that he’s human with some strange abilities, he’s quickly taken on a tour of the Dominus Liminis. The airship seems to be quite peculiar from what we noticed, having training rooms, weapons research areas—Yukio gets a new gun that can shoot powerful bullets—and even has a cloning room dedicated to Lucifer so he can continually switch bodies as the human body begins to degrade. Meanwhile, Shiemi seems to be in a rather strange place known as the Grigori Sedes! Chapter 110 ends with two more rather surprising moments. The first was the attempt by Lewin Light to reveal that Drac Dragulescu is using clone bodies himself but is thwarted when his only evidence doesn’t appear on Drac’s neck. Lewin gets thrown in jail—which makes sense—and the chapter ends not on that moment but on Yukio showering with a grin on his face showing he’s quite happy with the realization that he’s more powerful than just a normal human being. We have quite a long wait till chapter 111—it releases on June 3rd—but until then let us talk about the strengths—and weaknesses—of chapter 110 of Ao no Exorcist.

Why You Should Read Ao No Exorcist (Blue Exorcist) Chapter 110

1. A New Yukio Arises?

Ao no Exorcist chapter 110 seemed to give birth to a new and improved Yukio. Not only is the exorcist wielding new guns, but the fact that he’s able to withstand blue flames means he can easily dual Rin—if he has to—and might stand a fighting chance. Yukio seems to be all too eager to have these new strengths added to him which in turn might change his character in upcoming arcs! Yukio has leveled up, but will it be for the better or will it make him lose his way?

2. Mysterious Drac

Drac almost was outed by Lewin, but somehow, he’s hidden the only proof that could show he is indeed using a new body. This was a big moment for Ao no Exorcist as it proves that the exorcists might have some bad seeds roaming around and Drac might indeed be part of the illuminati. Can Lewin—or anyone else—prove his connections though? It’s another mystery to add to the list for Ao no Exorcist, but it was indeed an exciting moment.

Why You Should Skip Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist) Chapter 110

1. Chiemi’s Quick Problems

If we had one issue with chapter 110 of Ao no Exorcist it would be with the incident involving Chiemi. While we’re glad to move to other characters of the series, we would have liked a bit more information on what’s happening with her and why she’s in the current predicament she’s in. At the very least, if a few more panels would have been dedicated to Chiemi, we’d say at least we understand the point of showing her in the strange new locations she’s been taken away too. It felt too rushed overall and it lessened the impact of having Chiemi even being removed from the Vatican in the first place.

Final Thoughts

Ao no Exorcist chapter 110 was a pretty exciting chapter that added a slew of dramatic moments and mysteries to chew on till the next chapter’s release. Chiemi’s quick moment though was our only negative about chapter 110, but it still allowed us to see a new possible situation brewing in the mangaka’s mind.
