Good BYE Bee-kun. The theme of being thought of as one way, but actually being another is something quite intertesting. It reminds me of how Maika was in Blend S.

Ugh, quit stealing my idea! I was going to say that and this show resembles Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet as well. There's a lot of light humor and it has that overall soft feeling.

Synopsis

In this world known as Pandemonium, where angels who fell from heaven and became demons work, lives Her Excellency Beezlebub. Then there is the new employee Myurin who is Beelzebub’s supporting aide.

Myurin thought that Beelzebub would be some wise, cold being, but rather she’s actually a laidback, frivolous young girl who loves fluffy things! While Myurin is bewildered at the difference between fantasy and reality, he gradually shortens the distance between himself and Beelzebub daily.

The two are surrounded by clumsy, yet unique demons.

Three Episode Impression

I wasn’t sure what to expect out of Beelzebub Jou no Oki ni Mesu mama. I figured it’d be a bit ecchi and maybe just stupidly funny, but in fact, only the first episode was really all that ecchi, and really, it’s just because Beelzebub kept walking around naked. However, Beelzebub is portrayed as being cute with a rather intense love for all things cute and fluffy like the fluffy creatures she keeps at home, dust balls, alpaca fur, and cream puffs. If it’s fluffy, she’s probably going to love it. Then she has her assistant Mullin who absolutely idolizes her and yet, he’s extremely disappointed by her actual demeanor. The way Beelzebub Jou no Oki ni Mesu mama plays out is really in slice of life fashion as we watch Mullin and Beelzebub interact with different characters. The anime feels similar to the likes of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun or Nijiiro Days where it’s quite evident that some of the characters are supposed to be coupling, but it’s just a silly anime anyway. Overall, it’s a cute anime and fun. This will probably fulfill my need for a slice of life anime this season at the very least!

Characters & Voice Actors List

Beelzebub

Voice Actor: Saori Hayami

Beelzebub is a former angel who fell from heaven and became the ruler of Pandemonium where other fallen angels work. She can work, but when it comes to romance, this relaxed and comforting girl is the equivalent of a pre-schooler. She loves fluffy things and is currently raising a fluffy creature in her room that she calls ‘Kesaran Pasaran’.

Myurin

Voice Actor: Rikuya Yasuda

Myurin is a new employee in Pandemonium and has been appointed as Beelzebub’s attendant. He’s at a loss for words over the shocking difference between what he thought she would be like and what she is like, however, he still adores her greatly. He’s a slightly motherly, pure-hearted young man.

Belphegor

Voice Actor: Misaki Kuno

Belphegor is a tragic girl who tends to get anxious easily and then suffers from the immediate need to answer the call of nature. She currently has one-sided feelings for Azazel, but when he’s around, she gets nervous and runs away.

Azazel

Voice Actor: Satoshi Hino

Azazel may look tough, but he’s actually a giant softy with a shy personality. He is worried that his appearance makes Belphegor always run away from him. One day, he wants to become friends with her.

Astaroth

Voice Actor: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka

Astaroth proclaims that he is like Beelzebub’s older brother. He habitually skips out on everything and is always caught and tied up by his attendant Sargatanas. Even with all of this, he is the head of financial affairs.

Sargatanas

Voice Actor: Ai Kakuma

Sargatanas is Astaroth’s ultra-sadistic attendant. She looks chilly too, but she actually loves cute things. Although she approaches work intelligently, she’s green when it comes to romance.

Eurinomu

Voice Actor: Chinatsu Akasaki

Eurinomu is an unfortunate, bespectacled beauty who makes a sour face in front of anyone who isn’t a good-looking young man. She proclaims that she fancies young boys who are self-aware. Recently, Eurinomu is seen going to the library often.

Dantalion

Voice Actor: Aoi Yuuki

Dantalion is the head of the library who’s obsessed with printed text. They read so much that at work it appears that they are about to fall asleep, but they are actually accurately recommending books for customers. They appear to be quite young, but their actual age is...
