One-eyed samurai who has been chased for the crime of killing his own master and 100 hunters. He has been embedded the ultimate method to prolong the life called "Kessen-Chu" (Bloody wizard bug) by the mysterious old female called Yaobikuni and becomes immortal. He is a compassionate man, but he pretends to have a sarcastic personality since he has witnessed too many deaths. He uses different weapons based on different situations. Some of his weapons are the ones that his enemies have used. His ability to swords is unique and practical since it has been fostered by experiencing real battles. Manji swears to kill 1000 villains to make the crime of murdering 100 people, after experiencing the death of his little sister, Machi, and because he cannot kill immortal himself. By Yaobikuni's intention, Manji becomes a guard of Rin, who is the only child of Muten Ichi-Ryu Asano Dojo and has her father being murdered by "Ittou School" lead by Amatsu Kagehisa and participates in the revenge of her.

When she has been training by herself for the revenge on her father, who used to be the strongest swordsman in Edo and the master of Muten Ichi School Asano Dojo, she has recommended by Yaobikuni to hire Manji as her guard, and she hires him. She is basically a sore loser, but she is friendly and has a caring personality. Her special move is "Satsujin Ougon-chu", which throws 12 daggers at the same time. She is the daughter of the dojo, but her ability of sword is "not good at all", according to Manji.

The 2nd master of Ittou School. He has been trained severely by his grandfather who has been expelled from Muten Ichi School, Amatsu Saburou, since he was little, therefore has an outstanding ability of sword. To unite all schools of the sword under Ittou School, he begins to be active together with Kokui and Kyou and is having several dojos under his control. He looks calm from the outside, but he keeps a strong ambition within him.

The swordsman from Ittou School. He hates the swordsman class because he has his sister murdered by a samurai when he was young. He is a proactive man who is good at fighting through strategies. He is loyal and a hard-liner.
