Discussion Time

You have to give it to Tomura, he’s not one to quit despite being beaten down time after time. Chapter 223 of Boku no Hero Academia was pretty intense this week starting off on the league losing still to Gigantomachia even after a month and a half. While they have learned he needs rest for at least three hours, they also learned that Gigantomachia actually seems to grow stronger with each fight they engage him in. Nonetheless, Tomura continues to believe there is a way to take down the beast despite the bruises on his body saying otherwise. Things take a dark turn for the league—ironically—when the head of the Meta Liberation Army announces via a phone call to Twice that Giran has been captured by them but he’s not looking good. A quick look at the news claims that fingers—human fingers—have been found in various areas and Redestro—the leader of the Meta Liberation Army—claims those belong to Giran! Redestro makes an even bolder statement claiming that the army has been around for quite some time and has networked in numerous ways across the world making their numbers to be near 117’000 strong. Tomura then is given a big ultimatum: Fight the Meta Liberation Army and lose or be caught by the heroes who now know where they are located! What will Tomura’s next action be following this surprising turn of events? We don’t have an answer yet, but we do know that chapter 223 was insanely amazing this week and shouldn’t be skipped for any reason!
Why You Should Read Boku no Hero Academia Chapter 223

Why You Should Read Boku no Hero Academia Chapter 223

1. A New Army Rises!

Who here was shocked to learn how far and numerous the Meta Liberation Army was? That shocking revelation sent goosebumps down our arms in pure shock as these forces might have enough power to eliminate not only the villains but the heroes as well! An epic brawl could ensue in future arcs of Boku no Hero Academia and we’d love to see that battle. It also makes for an interesting situation to come that made us really love chapter 223 even more and we listed that concept below…

2. Heroes and Villains Unite?!

While the idea of two forces—bad and good—uniting sounds far fetched, let’s look at the facts. We have this new powerhouse of a force beginning to make moves against the villains not to be seen as heroes but to reduce the meta threat. What if the heroes realize that alone, both sides will fall to this new army but together they might stand a chance? Could we see Tomura and Deku team up in a future fight to keep meta humans alive? For those that think this is an impossible situation, just look at the western X-Men comics. Often, both good and bad mutants joined forces when those without power tried to eliminate them. We can easily see Boku no Hero Academia pulling a similar stunt in the near future which would be an epic team-up.

Final Thoughts

Chapter 223 of Boku no Hero Academia ends on a possible future arc that we hope comes to fruition. With the Meta Liberation Army gunning to eliminate villains and heroes alike, the two sides might need to put aside their differences and realize a stronger threat looms over them if they don’t work together. It might also lead to a peaceful resolution, but that one is probably less likely. What do you guys and girls think will happen in upcoming Boku no Hero Academia chapters?
