Folks, we have our true beginning of Tomura Shigaraki! Chapter 237 of Boku no Hero Academia has our young Tenko wandering around now without a family and seemingly without a cause. This is when Tenko meets All For One and he begins to mold Tenko into a villain who kills those who oppose him in any form. What’s even worse is All for One gives Tenko several hands—which we know originate from his family—and gives him his new name, Tomura Shigaraki! When Tomura asks where the last name comes from, we learn its apparently One for All’s last name which was pretty shocking! Nevertheless, Tomura is born and we return to the present battle. Gigantomachia is quickly approaching and Tomura is still engaged in his battle with Re-Destro! With Tomura once more in the battle both mentally and physically, how will this battle go down once the giant himself appears?! We can only imagine, but let’s be honest, we know many couldn’t focus on anything other then the birth of our villain these last few chapters. Let’s talk why chapter 237 worked so well and why it is the best way to set up a grand battle between three extremely powerful beings!
1. He’s Born
Tomura has truly been born in chapter 237 of Boku no Hero Academia and gosh, we really enjoyed his backstory. While most of Tomura’s tale has been known in some form thanks to info drops, seeing it fully realized was a highlight in the Boku no Hero Academia story. Now let’s see if any other villain or hero gets this much back story later. Any thoughts on who? Let us know in the comments!
2. The Trio Should Be Together Soon!
It’s been several chapters now since we knew Gigantomachia was going to join in on the huge battle between both Re-Destro and Tomura. Chapter 237 though ends with us knowing the giant isn’t far now and that has us excited! Now let’s hope this battle actually happens…no more pumping us Boku no Hero Academia!!!
Final Thoughts
Chapter 237 of Boku no Hero Academia ended our back story for Tomura but the feeling we have hasn’t dissipated even weeks later. Tomura’s true origin had us going through a gauntlet of emotions weekly and we feel for him but know that unfortunately, he was destined for evil. Now with the past out of the way, our current battle returns in full swing and we can’t wait a second longer to see the grand trio of baddies meet up and duke it out!
