What You Need to Know:
- Over the weekend, which was part of the Golden Week holiday in Japan, it came to light that Osamu Souda's beloved novel Bokura no Nanokakan Senseu (Our Seven Day War) will be getting a reboot in the form of an anime in 2019. The novel was released in 1985 and was previously made into a live action movie in 1988.
- Bokura no Nanokakan Sensou tells the story of students who rebel against their teachers and take up living in an abandoned factory for freedom. However, the town and teachers do not want this and try to get the children to come home.
- The novel is extremely popular among elementary school students and there have been many sequels released in the series for an overall count of 170,00,000 copies in print! At the announcement ceremony, the author celebrated the announcement as well as mentioned that he will turn 90 on Monday (today). Stay tuned for more information in the future!
