What You Need to Know:
- In a fast turn of events, it appears that Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de will be getting that nidome (2nd chance) after all. Japanese otaku sussed out that the series has been picked up as a manga and is being published online via Comic Walker in their free-to-read section.
- The series was updated yesterday, August 30th, and will be getting an update on September 22nd. On the page, there is a link to purchase all of the bound manga volumes that have been released up till now.
- When old tweets were dug up by a bilingual fan of the series a few months ago, the author's past transgressions were laid bare. That past was that his twitter was allegedly full of tweets and explainations of the novels making disparaging remarks against Chinese and Korean people. The scandal was picked up by domestic and some international media leading to a backlash from both at home and abroad saying how inappropriate it was. Kadokawa subsequently cancelled the long-running light novel series and the anime that had recently been announced. You can read our in-depth explanation of it here.

What?!?! This wasn't even three months ago! Ruroni Kenshin's author had to wait a least a year!
Maybe. But MINE also apologized for the things he said and wanted to rectify them by editing parts of the series. Maybe that is why Kadokawa has allowed this.
