Hmmmmm So... This feels like Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Symphonia had a child.

Could be. But this looks more gamer friendly since this is from a mobile game, so maybe it's close to Granblue Fantasy which is also airing in Spring 2017.

Hmmmm.... I am not seeing a lot of seiyuu that I recognize either. Well it's not necessarily a problem though. The story is not like Konosuba. We will not be seeing jokes, but more magic and fighting! hehe

Oh! I just noticed this is made by SEGA! Heck yes! Wait.... is that a book in the image? Is this To Aru Majutsu no Index and Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho??

Synopsis

This is Yggdra, a continent at the farthest ends of the earth. The residents of this land believed that it was the entire world. The continent was divided into territories, with a king ruling over each. Even though small battles broke out between each of the powers, balance was maintained by the Holy King, a leader chosen by the kings of the round table. That is, until the demons of darkness, the Black Army appeared...

Three Episode Impression

Anime adaptations of video games usually go one of two ways: they either work out or they completely miss the market. In the case of Chain Chronicle, we can say that the producers have done a solid job. The story works out, the characters are not complete clichés, and the artwork (which is especially important if you have a fantasy universe and/or lots of action scenes) doesn’t have to hide itself either. Whether you’re a fan of the original game or not doesn’t really matter in the case of Chain Chronicle. As long as you enjoy a solid fantasy story with lots of action, it’s safe to give this show at least a try.
