Yes, but considering a game of death has been set up by an old man for sport, you know that there is going to be a lot of jokes. It just depends on how serious the series takes itself. Expect lots of cameos from characters from the Kaiji series. Look at the black suits character bios below. They are all the same thing.

It did win the award for 'Kono Manga ga Sugoi!' in 2016, so you know that it has to be somewhat good. It beat out 3-gatsu no Lion, Drifters, and World Trigger.

Synopsis

Yukio Tonegawa, a member of the upper brass at the Teiai Group, has been ordered by his boss, the head of said group Kazutaka Hyoudou, to plan a death game for those who are in debt.

Tonegawa quickly summons the black suits to a planning meeting, but gradually dark clouds begin to form over the room…!? Yukio Tonegawa now goes back and forth in confusion between the group head and the black suits.
