Crunchyroll announced that starting today, they'll be collaborating with Good Smile Company and NextNinja on “Grand Summoners,” a top grossing RPG in Japan, to launch a heroic crossover event featuring fan favorite characters from “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.” The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, with new episodes airing every Monday at 8:30 AM PT.

“Grand Summoners” is a multiplayer-based RPG with rich gameplay, strategic co-op battles, and epic anime storylines. It has previously featured popular anime series for in game collaborations such as “One Punch Man,” “Golden Kamuy” and “Kill la Kill.”
During this global crossover event, which runs from February 14 to March 31, fans can summon famous anime heroes from “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” such as Slime Hero “Rimuru Tempest,” Demon Lord “Milim Nava,” the Samurai General of the ogres “Benimaru,” and the iconic Slime-form Rimuru. This Crunchyroll crossover is packed with hours of fast-paced, competitive gameplay, four exclusive playable characters from the series, crossover-themed equipment, and an original storyline all available now for a limited time.
This in-game crossover marks the first ever appearance of characters from “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” within a mobile game. Fans of the manga and anime will receive a variety of rewards over the course of the campaign, and are guaranteed one playable crossover character (Slime-form Rimuru) by completing the limited-time crossover story missions.
In addition to the in-game crossover event, fans of “That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime” are also in for a week of Crunchyroll events and social activations! This Saturday, Crunchyroll is streaming the third annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards, streaming exclusively on Twitch starting at 6 PM. The lead character, Rimuru Tempest from “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” is currently nominated for Best Protagonist so fans are invited to tune in and see if he’s crowned the winner!
