What You Need to Know:
- On the evening of October 5th (JST), Kadokawa's YouTube channel livestreamed a special program that looks back on the TV anime "Deca-Dence" with the main cast and director Tachikawa Yuzuru. The exciting program was titled the "DECA-DENCE Super Special Special" and it was presented by Tachikawa Yuzuru (director), Hiroshi Seko (screenwriter), and Studio NUT.
- The show was hosted by the voices of Kaburagi (Katsuyuki Konishi), Natsume (Tomori Kusunoki), Minato (Kosuke Toriumi), and director Yuzuru Tachikawa who talked about all kinds of things like "everybody's favorite characters", including Sarukoji and Jill, world designs and personal experiences working on the anime.
- The cast also rewatched scenes from DECA-DENCE and added their live commentary, with the director and sreenwriter praising the voice actors here and there as they went for their performance.
- The video is only available in Japanese and will only be up for a limited time but it also includes 2 musical performances, one of the opening theme "Theater of Life" by Konomi Suzuki (at 1:12:00) and one of the ending theme "Kioku no Hakobune" by Kashitarou Itou immediately after (at 1:19:30), so even if you don't understand the conversations, at least you can enjoy the show!
- The musical artists both sat down with the cast and director to chat for a while as well and shared their love for the anime's story, characters, and even animation. Konomi Suzuki said her inspiration for the opening song was Natsume's youthful passion. Coincidentally, Tomori Kusunoki, who plays Natsume, is a big fan of hers! Kashitaro Itou (wearing a fox mask in the video) said his inspiration were Natsume's feelings towards Kaburagi.
- The special wouldn't be complete without a bunch of special merch being announced and there were quite a few items! From adorable plushies of Kaburagi in his cyborg form and Pipe to t-shirts, a totebag, a coffee mug with all the cute cybogs all around it, and, of course, a special DVD/Blu-ray Box set among many more.
