What You Need to Know:
- Devoted anime fans will likely come to the consensus that anime just isn't what it used to be, when compared to the sheer amount of classics that we were gifted with back in the day. We've suffered case after case of recent anime running into animation problems, poor narrative, and just overall lacking in emotional resonance. Flashback to 2007, 13 years to be exact, and we had a pretty solid list of heavy hitters that are still revered today.
- Did you know? Action anime Claymore and KyoAni's super classic Slice of Life Comedy Lucky☆Star, made their debut in spring 2007? Claymore follows the silver-eyed lone wolf Clare, known as 'Claymore', who's a half-human-half-youma. Raki's family is killed by the youma and so now Raki and Clare venture out into the unknown to save the world from peril, while coming to know more about Clare's dark past and organization.
- Lucky☆Star is a well-known classic for a reason and that's simply because of how funny the show is. It follows the daily lives of Konata Izumi, Tsukasa and Kagami who are twins, along with the witty Miyuki Takara. The show focuses on their school and personal lives while teaching viewers the importance of friendship, otaku culture, Japanese traditions, and much more. If you haven't had a chance to watch these two classics, now's the time to do so while you're couped up at home!
Claymore is definitely a super-classic and a recommendation on my end!
