What You Need to Know:
- This week seems to be an interesting one, especially for fans of Dragon Ball, because so many great characters celebrate their birthday! Yesterday it was Majin Buu and now today we celebrate the birth of none other than Piccolo aka Piccolo Jr. aka Piccolo the Great Demon King. Piccolo made his first appearance in the series under the title King Piccolo, who started as a diabolical tyrant who wanted to see Earth crumble. He served as the main antagonist in the King Piccolo Saga and shortly after, due to the ability 'Birthing an Egg', he reincarnated himself as Piccolo Jr. the one we know and admire from Dragon Ball Z.
- There's a lot of lore behind this cool and interesting Namekian and very similar to Majin Buu, Piccolo started off as a bad guy before becoming the well known mentor to Kid Gohan and eventually one of the Z-Fighters later in the series.

At first I really didn't like Piccolo but once he became a mentor to Kid Gohan later in the series, I really started to love him.
Yeah, once he started to open up and become more pure, Piccolo was sooo awesome.
