What You Need to Know:

  • Well... that happened. Many fans will recall that Artland was the studio who produced Summer 2017 ecchi anime sin Nanatsu no Taizai. Then, halfway through the series, it was announced that Artland was filing for backruptcy while the series was airing. This consequenly lead to the finale being postponed for weeks.
  • Emon Animation Company announced that it was going to take a 51% stake in the company in June last year in order to help restructure it and keep the studio alive and producing anime. However, it seems that that has not come to fruition a year later as they announced today that they are transferring their hold in the company to Levels. Restructuring must have been something difficult for them to bow out.
  • For now, Studio Artland had over $2.5 million in debt as of last December and we are waiting to see what happens next.. It seems as if this giant that produced series like Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu, Macross, and Mushishi is falling and fast. How sad.

No one has any right to complain either. It is important that you support the series and buy the Blu-rays/DVDs. This is what happens when you do not support things. They fail. Anime ain't cheap.

I agree. We need to support that which we love or there will be nothing left later!
