Starting in 2007, it was rebooted as the “Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition” series and split up into three films so far, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. The fourth and final film of the series, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time has now been finalized.
Evangelion’s themes of “What is the essence of a person?” and “Why do people live?” are universal questions that apply to every generation. Shinji, Rei, Asuka, and Mari are all characters brimming with individuality, and as they pilot the artificial Evangelions, they search for new ways of living.
Striving to recreate the epic worldbuilding of the original, the creators make full use of the latest digital technology. With updated animations and visuals, beautiful designs and colors, and character expressions full of emotion, they are bound to touch your heart.
