- Netflix has announced their November slate of offerings and among them is the "2nd Season" of GREAT PRETENDER, which will be hitting the service on November 25.
- In reality, this is not a second season but episodes 15 through 23 of the 23-episode anime. The staggered release dates reflect the release pattern of Netflix in Japan where the first 14 episodes were released weeks before the second half of the series.
- In GREAT PRETENDER, Makoto Edamura is a self-proclaimed “Japan's greatest swindler”. One day, he and his partner in crime, Kudo, try to trick a Frenchman who is visiting Asakusa for a sightseeing trip to make some money... but they unexpectedly get tricked instead. The man is Laurent Thierry, a conman and mafia leader. And from that moment, Makoto gets involved in an incredible “con game” traveling around the world.
