- Natsuki Takaya—creator of Fruits Basket and Fruits Basket Another—announced on her Twitter account that the 13th chapter may be the final chapter or the series.
- The sequel was begun as a commemoration for the release of the Fruits Basket collector's edition and it's the story of Sawa Mitoma, a nervous, skittish high school girl who prefers minimal human contact and how her life chnages when she meets the two popular boys in school, princely Mutsuki and sharp-tongued Hajime. Sound familiar? It should! Those two are... Soumas!?
- Takaya states that, though she had originally ended the Fruits Basket Another manga in December 2018 she planned to draw one-shots for it, she now has no more plans to continue the story nor to write it from the parents' point of view as well—though she admits it may have been easier!
- Fruits Basket Another was originally published on HanLaLa, a free manga service since 2015 but since then was moved to Manga Park in 2017. Currently, Yen Press is publishing the English version in both paperback and digital formats along with the manga spinoff Fruits Basket: The Three Musketeers Arc!
