Synopsis
One day, Kazuya Soma, who has just lost his grandfather, his last living relative, is suddenly transported to another world as a hero.
He is summoned to Elfrieden, a kingdom reminiscent of medieval Europe.
Kazuya is far from hero material. In fact, he’s just an ordinary young man. However, his rational mind and modern knowledge allow him to come up with many new policies to help restore the kingdom’s flailing financial and political systems.
On the way, Kazuya befriends a group of unique and talented individuals, including Liscia, Elfrieden’s princess, the Dark Elf Aisha, the kingdom’s first warrior, Hakuya, a shrewd young man, Poncho, a glutton, Juna, a diva, and Tomoe, a girl capable of communicating with animals.
This is a fantasy story of domestic politics where the hero uses modern knowledge to rescue a kingdom on the verge of collapse!

Soma Kazuya: Yusuke Kobayashi
Kazuya, more widely known by his family name “Soma,” is a young man who was summoned to another world by the Elfrieden Kingdom to be their hero. A well-read history enthusiast, his knowledge and ability to lead result in him being appointed to the throne. He works together with new-found friends to raise the kingdom from its poverty-stricken ashes.
Liscia Elfrieden: Inori Minase
She is the queen of Elfrieden. Her father Albert’s decision to marry her off to Soma and advocate the throne caught her by surprise. She has her doubts about the new king, but...
Aisha Utgard: Ikumi Hasegawa
Aisha is a Dark Elf who hails from the God-Protected Forest within Elfrieden’s borders. She appears before Soma and the others to inform them of her forest’s plight. The bravest warrior in the kingdom, she is fiercely loyal and willing to do whatever it takes to protect her allies.
Juna Doma: Reina Ueda
Juna is the face of the musical cafe Lorelei. A unique beauty of many talents, she excels at singing and dancing. She uses her position as a songstress to help Soma enact his many policy changes and support this new era of peace.
Hakuya Kuonmin: Kazuyuki Okitsu
The universal consensus throughout the kingdom is that, in terms of knowledge, Hakuya has no equal. He is particularly skilled at using said knowledge and insight to read others. Soma’s right-hand man, he is known as the “Black-Robbed Prime Minister.”
Tomoe Inui: Moeka Kishimoto
Tomoe is a wolf girl who has reached Elfrieden Kingdom as a refugee with her little brother and mother. She has a rare ability to communicate with animals.
Poncho Panacotta: Masaaki Mizunaka
No one can match Poncho when it comes to eating. His vast culinary expertise is the key to ending the kingdom’s food crisis.
Georg: Taiten Kusunoki
Georg is the commander of the Elfrieden Army and one of the Three Lords. The entire kingdom knows of this beastman’s patriotism, but he opposes Soma’s rise to the throne. Sheltering nobles who also reject the new king in his own territory, he raises the flag of rebellion.
Excel Walter: Yui Horie
Excel is the commander of the Elfrieden Navy and one of the Three Lords. She belongs to a Sea Serpent race said to live for a thousand years. All the experience she has accumulated over the centuries has transformed her into a political-minded beauty of a woman. Despite her age, she can be quite playful and speaks her mind more often than not.
Castor Vargas: Jun Fukuyama
Castor is the commander of the Elfrieden Air Force and one of the Three Lords. He is a hot-blooded man that hails from a species called Dragonnewts and values personal loyalty over the interests of the many. The sudden transfer of power makes him believe that Soma orchestrated a plot to usurp the throne from Albert.
Carla Vargas: Manami
Carla is a general in the Elfrieden Army and the daughter of Castor Vargas. Stubborn to a fault, nothing can change her mind once she makes a decision. She believes that Liscia, her best friend, was forced to marry Soma.
