Synopsis

This is the 3rd season of "Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (Legend of the Galactic Heroes): Die Neue These".

In the Imperial Year 488 (Year 797 of the Galactic Calendar), Reinhard von Lohengramm fought against the High Nobles and rose to become the new Kaiser of the Galactic Empire. But the loss of his closest friend Kircheis allowed a depression to bloom in his heart. At around the same time, Yang Wen-li ended the civil war between the Free Planets Alliance and the National Salvation Military Council. However, power-hungry politicians in the Alliance government are becoming more and more wary of Yang.

The following year sees the Empire intending to retake Iserlohn Fortress, lauded for its strategic location and impregnable defense. Admiral Kempff leads his men, with an overwhelming advantage. Thus begins a battle like never before.

Characters & Voice Actors

Reinhard von Lohengramm: Mamoru Miyano

The genius strategist who has blond hair and blue eyes. He holds a deep hatred to the emperor of the Galactic Empire, who has taken his loving older sister, Anne Rose, away. Later, together with his best friend Kircheis, he becomes the soldier after swearing to change the political style of the Galactic Empire and brings back his sister.
Yang Wen-li: Kenichi Suzumura

Once he wanted to become the history researcher but loses all his money by his father's death. He enters a military academy and becomes a soldier because he can study history there for free. He is also known as "the wizard Yang" and "Miracle Yang", for his ability to lead the allies to victory from bad situations.
Julian Mintz: Yuki Kaji

A 14-year old boy who used to be a war orphan, and later becomes the protege of Yang. He is good at chores, and he is the master of making tea.
Wolfgang Mittermeyer: Daisuke Ono

A chief admiral under Kaiser Reinhard von Lohengramm, he is known as the Gale Wolf. He is also one of the “Twin Pillars” alongside fellow admiral Oskar von Reuenthal. He killed a soldier of noble birth, who had, in turn, killed a civilian. This earned him the ire of the High Nobles and a prison sentence, to be freed only with the help of Reuenthal and Lohengramm. Has sworn allegiance to the latter.
Oskar von Reuenthal: Yuichi Nakamura

A chief admiral under Kaiser Reinhard von Lohengramm. He is one of the “Twin Pillars” alongside admiral Wolfgang Mittermeyer. Has heterochromia.
Alex Cazellnu: Tokuyoshi Kawashima

A military officer in charge of logistics in Yang’s fleet. He is a close friend of the Yang family.
