What You Need to Know:
- It was announced that "Hakuoki" got a new OVA adaptation. At the same time, its teaser visual & new character info were released.
- "Hakuoki" originates from a romance adventure game "Hakuoki -Shinsengumi Kitan-". Its setting is the end of the Edo Period (Bakumatsu) and the battle of Shinsengumi's warrior (they are often called "last samurais") is portrayed with an unique perspective and interpretation. A player can experience the romance story with each Shinsengumi member and reach indivudually different endings.
- This OVA will include a new character whose name is Hyogo Sakai (image below). The detailed information about him was not yet revealed, but according to the history, it is turned out that he was a member of Shinsengumi.
- So far, "Hakuoki" have expanded its world into many kinds of media such as TV series, live action, and musical. This OVA will be another part of it and color the "Hakuoki" world.
