Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World doesn’t waste too long in making you realize two things. One, this isn’t your usual fantasy isekai of a young man being trapped in a game—in this case, Michio Kaga—but a violent fantasy series with adult themes. Then you also realize there are hot big oppai girls in this series and they are willing to have sex with our main man Michio!? Yes, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is pretty mature and doesn’t back down when reminding you of the semi-adult themes when Michio has sex with one of his various female companions. While a lot is censored, we were surprised Crunchyroll still showed some mature content despite not completely revealing all the sexual content that could lead the site to have some trouble with the viewers. Still, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World reminds us that we can have an adult harem that also is an isekai!

What grabbed us originally in our first impression of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World was Michio. Despite his cliché entrance into a video game world, Michio goes from kind of shocked he just killed people to embracing the fact that he can kill and have sex in this fantasy landscape. This dude even buys a sex slave—in this case, the well-endowed Roxanne—and immediately knows he wants to do the deed with her. Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World has a lead protagonist that might be a bit of an oddball at times but we have to say his attitude towards his situation is quite refreshing when most anime protagonists tend to shy away from sex or doing obscene things.

Besides sex, boobs, and tons of other sexual goodies, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is again a fantasy series with a bit of action thrown in with the focus being the so-called “Labyrinth”. Akin to the multi-floored theme of Sword Art Online, the labyrinth of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is filled with dangerous traps, strange enemies, and treasures waiting to be nabbed by explorers/adventurers. Michio and his party always end up in this dangerous area of the labyrinth and there is no denying a huge majority of the series takes place there… That’s perfectly fine because the labyrinth is pretty cool. We loved the format of this seemingly lively location and while it doesn’t reinvent the isekai wheel of labyrinths, it does just enough to keep Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World from having a boring central setting.

Sadly, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World isn’t without its issues and one that can be noticed is from the moment our Michio buys Roxanne. The sex and the theme of having sex with Roxanne are too repeatitive to be shocking. At first, you will no doubt have your mouth hit the floor when Michio and Roxanne do it, but by episode 12…it becomes almost expected. There’s a point while watching Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World that we almost became desensitized to the sex as it happens almost always near the end of the episode and almost always plays out in a similar fashion. We kind of wish there was a bit more substance to Michio and his girls but again we knew this type of show wouldn’t be 100% without fault somewhere.
