- Just mere minutes ago, the official Anime Japan 2020 Twitter account tweeted out that, due to the continuous spreading of the Corona Virus, the event will be cancelled. This news is quite abrupt but somehow expected, as not too long ago we posted news that Anime Japan 2020 was facing risk of being cancelled due to the Corona Virus scare, and it seems like the nail in the coffin has been confirmed entirely.
- This is certainly big news and an incredibly sad one at that, seeing how Anime Japan is a yearly event in Japan and continues to be a leading event for many otaku fans, and businesses to get together to share their passions under one roof. Unfortunately with how the Corona Virus spreads, that being in small contained areas with a large amount of people, it was a smart call from the management department to play it safe. The worst thing we want is for things to get worse. Well...as sad as we are to hear about this news, we can only pray that other events later in the year, such as Comiket and Tokyo Game Show remain unscathed.
