AnimeJapan 2017 is one of Japan’s biggest events pertaining to anime, and Honey’s Anime attended the event to conduct exclusive interviews with major companies. This is just one of the eight interviews that were conducted, which detailed the company’s primary focus and their message to the world.
Japan Expo takes place in France, perhaps the one area in all of Europe that has the highest population of anime fans. We had the opportunity to sit down with the CEO Mr.Thomas Sirdey along with the Tokyo office head Mr. Buon, who went over his company strengths as well as what he’d like the share with the world. He states that Japan Expo attracts many fans from around the world not just in Europe, but he’d like to continue expanding to help more people better assimilate with Japan’s pop culture. While many people like to believe that Japan’s pop culture is widely accepted, that generally isn’t the case and so he’d like to close that gap by inviting everyone out to special events. Japan Expo is the biggest Japan related event in Europe, and so the main mission is to bring people of all ages together under one roof, and come to appreciate the beauty and diversity of Japanese culture.
We want to say a big thanks to the team at Japan Expo, for allowing us to sit down and discuss all of the great events you have planned. It’s very exciting to know that more and more people in Europe are starting to feel the true power of Japanese pop culture, and it’s thanks to you Japan Expo for making it all happen. We wish you all the best and hope to see you at AnimeJapan 2018!
