What You Need to Know:
- If you have been living under a rock and missed it, the Gintama live action movie has been confirmed. Shun Oguri, a very accomplished and successful actor, was selected to play the role of Gintoki.
- Japanese fans were not too upset by this, unlike the FMA announcement for the actor playing Edward, and began to accept Shun as a somewhat acceptable person to play Gintoki... until now.
- Recently on a Japanese Television Program, Shun showed off his room including his manga and book collection. Fans with keen eyes were quick to notice that Shun Oguri's collection had a problem as he only owns the first edition of the manga.
- Fans immediately exploded in anger demanding to know why he was chosen. Hideaki Sorachi, the creator of Gintama, pointed out that he honestly did not care what happened to his works as he views all of his own works as personal failures. He is a true artist. Fans immediately quelled their anger and began, once again, to talk about Shun's works.
Just one book...

The fact that he teases us makes Sorachi-sensei the best and most interesting! lol
The creator of Gintama is sometimes really annoying.
He really is eccentric.
Oguri Shun is good in a lot of movies. I guess I am okay with this.
He does not have to read all of the manga just because he has the role. Chill out everyone.
Did we just get reverse trolled by the author?!?
Hyup.... I'm pretty sure we did. Well good to know that fans seem to be in an okay place again with Oguri Shun!
