- The popular Japanese movie, Joker Game was released in January of 2015, and was met with mixed reviews. It is based on the original story created by Kōji Yanagi.
- Just today, it's been announced that Joker Game will be made into a TV anime. The release date has yet to be determined.
- The anime will be directed by Kazuya Nomura (director of Robotics;Notes), and will be produced by Production I.G.

Meanwhile, Kato (Kazuya Kamenashi) is facing capital punishment for his refusal to follow a superior's order. Kato is then scouted by "D Kikan". He goes through a harsh training regiment and faces his first mission as a spy."
