Synopsis
Iska is known as the youngest and strongest Saint Disciple of the Heavenly Empire, which is a nation of advanced science. Aliceliese (or Alice), who is known as the "Ice Calamity Witch", is the strongest mage and second princess of the Nebulis Sovereignty, which is feared to be the "Land of Witches". In the midst of a fierce battle, the two of them meet on the battlefield and recognize each other as arch-enemies.
When they reunite in the neutral city, Iska is fascinated with Alice's beauty and integrity, and Alice begins to be drawn to Iska's strength and way of living. After several encounters, they get to know each other, including their desire for a peaceful world. However, they belong to two different nations that are hostile to each other, the Heavenly Empire and the Nebulis Sovereignty. For this reason, they are not allowed to stay together and choose to become enemies, aiming to create a world without war.

Iska: Yuusuke Kobayashi
A young soldier who belongs to the Empire. He uses a special weapon called the "Astral Swords", which is a pair of black and white twin swords. He is also known as the "Successor of the Black Steel."
Aliceliese Lou Nebulis Ⅸ: Sora Amamiya
The second princess of the Nebulis Sovereignty. She is a powerful astral mage who is feared by the Empire as the "Ice Calamity Witch." Also known as Alice.
Mismis Klass: Nao Shiraki
Mismis Klass The captain of the 907th Unit of the Defense Agency III, the same squad as Iska. She is short and has a baby face that is mistaken to be a child, but she is a respectable 22-year-old woman.
Jhin Syulargun: Shunichi Toki
He is a sniper in the same squad as Iska. He had once trained under the same master as Iska.
Nene Alkastone: Kaori Ishihara
She is a transmission engineer in the same squad as Iska. Despite her cute appearance, she is skilled at developing weapons and considered one of the greatest mechanics in the Empire.
Rin Vispose: Yumiri Hanamori
Alice's aide and maid. She served as a bodyguard in the palace of a royal family. She is an excellent user of Earthen astral power and is also a skilled assassin.
Millavair Lou Nebulis VIII: Aya Hisakawa
She is the current Queen of the Nebulis Sovereignty and Alice's biological mother. She considers the Empire as a place of barbarians who had unjustly persecuted witches and sorcerers.
Nameless: Jun Kasama
The eighth seat of the Saint Disciples. An assassin draped in optical camouflauge and without equal in combat, he cannot tolerate any obstacles to his actions and will mercilessly execute his mission without heed to friend or foe. There is a cool rationality to everything he does.
