Isolated deep within the mountains lives a clan of kunoichi, female ninjas, called the Akane Clan. The kunoichi all have very distinct personalities and are separated into squads. They have friendly rivalries and work hard together to hone their skills. One of the hard and fast rules of the Akane Clan, which must never be broken, is that all contact with men is forbidden.

Tsubaki is an apprentice kunoichi and the leader of the Dog Squad. Osa, the leader of the clan, has recognized her talent as a ninjutsu user, and other clan members see her as a leader they can place their trust in.

However, there’s something that Tsubaki just can’t seem to get out of her mind—boys! She’s never laid eyes on a boy, nor has come into contact with one, but she wants to meet one at least once. The more she thinks about it, the more her heart aches. “What am I supposed to do about this feeling?!”
