She did make Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and Inuyasha. All have been massive hits in their own ways. Plus the manga for Kyoukai no Rinne is still ongoing.

Plus plus! Sakura is so oblivious while Rinne is so in love with her. It's adorable. It's just good to know that Rokumon, Juumonji, Tamako, and Ageha will be back along with their seiyuu and the original staff!

The shinigami theme sure it great though. I really am enjoying Noragami, Fukigen na Mononokean, and Nurarihyon no Mago while we wait for more!

Synopsis

The 3rd Season of Kyoukai no Rinne.

Sakura Mamiya has been able to see ghosts and spirits since she was a small child. One day though, she meets a poor, young boy who does work just like a Shinigami or death god. His name is Rinne Rokudou. He begins to attend middle school and settles the affairs of spirits. For his duties performed, he’s supposed to receive an offering and use that money to live, however, he is actually dirt poor! In order to buy the goods necessary for an exorcism, he begins to borrow money from Sakura amassing a debt. They are both are aware of it but, what exactly will happen to the relationship between these two that, speaking of, isn’t really going anywhere! What of Rinne’s archrival as well? Let’s not forget his unfinished training as well! Rinne and Sakura now have to work together, along with Rinne’s contracted familiar black cat Rokumon, to send wandering spirits back to the wheel of Samsara! This unexpectedly amazing after school story of the spiritual world is beginning! This a soul-calming, school comedy of a dirt poor boy shinigami and a calm, cool and collected girl intertwining!

Three Episode Impression

Kyoukai no Rinne is back again for a third season! As expected from Rumiko Takahashi, could this series be the next Inuyasha or Ranma ½? Only time will tell. For now, the gang's all back together and it seems we are just getting sequential episodes. We do know though, that new characters are coming this season. Hitomi and Otome has been teased in the visual and we know that they are integral to the story, but they have not made their debut yet as of episode three. Maybe they will appear in the fourth? *hint hint*.

As for the plot, where Inuyasha had endless fights that ended with Naraku running away, Kyoukai no Rinne does have its ever-fleeing villain in his father Sabato, but the series is different. Rinne does not travel, but rather stays close to the school throughout the whole series which leads to an episodic feeling, but it is not the end of the world as there is variety. We sure hope that someone gets Sakura a clue soon though. Poor thing is so oblivious. All in all, we are glad the series is back to bring laughs.

Characters & Voice Actors List

Rinne Rokudou

Voice Actor: Kaito Ishikawa

He settles the affairs of the spirits at school, and he’s supposed to receive an offering and use that money to live, however, for some reason he’s always in the red! He’s a young, male shinigami who’s broke and tends to be fairly mellow, but he has a gentle heart and a strong sense of justice.

Sakura Mamiya

Sabato is Rinne’s father and Tamako’s son. He is a bad Shinigami and the leader of the Damashigami. He looks just like Rinne, but he actually is a lecher and wild with money. He detests working so he runs around from place to place amassing debt.
