Synopsis
“I can’t remember anything. Who exactly am I?” Saybil is a student at the Royal Academy of Magic and has no memories of his time before being enrolled there. Without a clue as to why he’s there, he goes through the daily motions of school life with a feeling of emptiness, and without knowing how to apply himself to anything, his performance is at the bottom of the barrel. One day, Albus, the headmaster of the academy, suddenly sends Saybil on a dangerous, special mission to help with his training. “I want you to spread the usefulness of magic in areas where witch hunting is still taking place." It has been several years since the war between witches and the church has ended, but the world has yet to fully embrace witches and magic. The dawn of the witches has come. This is the story of a hopeless young boy who tries to find himself as he’s accompanied by friends who hide the pain in their hearts.

Sable: Shuichiro Umeda
A student who attends the Royal Academy of Magic in the Kingdom of Wenias. He has lost all memories of his time before being enrolled there, and because of that, he can't find any meaning in his existence other than magic. Therefore, he makes it his goal to become a wizard. However, he has the worst grades in his entire grade. To avoid expulsion, remedial action is taken and he is ordered to undergo special training. He’s honest, but because he’s so introverted, he knows little of human emotions—his own included.
Roux Cristasse: Miho Okazaki
A witch who has lived for hundreds of years and sometimes goes by the nickname “Dawn.” She has a contract with Luden’s Staff, a demon that sucks the magic power of anyone who touches it. Through the use of the staff, she can wield incredible power but she can’t use magic on her own. Although she’s not a teacher, to achieve a certain purpose, she assumes the role of a “guidance teacher” for Saybil’s special training.
Holt: Sayumi Suzushiro
A student who attends the same magic academy as Saybil. She’s an honors student who gets top grades and is always smiling, but surprisingly, she’s the kind of person who either likes or doesn’t like someone. She has a good relationship with Saybil, who has poor grades and is unsociable, and is also fond of Loux Krystas, who has a wealth of magical knowledge.
Kudd: Taku Yashiro
One of the students at the Wenias Royal Academy of Magic who is also partaking in the special training. He’s called a half-beast, a person born with animal characteristics, and has the appearance of a lizard mixed with a human. Although his rude and sarcastic behavior make him stand out even more, he has a strong sense of justice and is an honest person. His body changes colors based on his emotions, making it impossible for him to lie.
