The young exterminator. 17 years old. The protagonist of this story. He lives in "Garden Mario", a tavern in Trade City E-05 in the "Oriental Union". Mario, the owner of "Garden Mario", saved him after collapsing infrom the streets 3 years ago. He acts unfriendly and speaks harshly to others, but also has a caring side and always keeps his promises with the deceaseddead. Other than his job as an exterminator with the army, he is often dragged out by Jin to protect him.

The girl who Kidou met near the insect cage. She has silver hair with a red streak and grayish-purple eyes. The heroine of this story. A 14-year-old born in Dec. 2110. She and her father, Griffis, lived in A-47, a rural village of the "Oriental Union". The two of them are attacked by insects during their way to go meet her mother, Tania. Here, she meets Kidou. She couldn't move from the shock of losing her father, but Kidou's words make her determined to live alone in the harsh world where Cagasters live. She's cheerful and is not shy around new people.

A large built transgender who owns the tavern "Garden Mario" in E-05. 38 years old. A gentle and caring person who you don't want to upset. Most of the characters avoid gettingno better not to get on Mario's nerve. Mario found Kidou in the back of the tavern and took him in.

A 25-year-old merchant. He brings along Kidou as protection, but Kidou keep demanding for the protection fee as he didn't pay the it a lot of timesmany times hasn't paid for the price Kidou has charged him for his protection. Though being a cheerful clown, he showed his serious side to Kidou when Iri was kidnapped. His design comes from Tako from "Sanbiki ga Kiru!".

A 9-year-old kid that lives in the slums of the west gate of the destroyedleftovers of E-05. He lost his parents in an incident 5 years ago and now lives with his grandfather. The soldier, Qasim, gives him a job of repairing hardware. He's quite realistic for his age.
