Japan Crate + Funimation = My Hero Academia Goodness in June!
June’s すごい (Sugoi) Japan Crate is a special collaboration between Japan Crate and anime giant Funimation and it is superhero-inspired! Of course, that means... My Hero Academia! The “Sugoi” box includes a bunch of sweets and savory snacks to enjoy while you watch the UA High School students develop their skills in the third season of BokuAca, which Funimation is currently providing SimulDubs for! So go subscribe to that too. It’s the perfect match!

Honey’s Anime was lucky enough to receive an early delivery of the premium version of this superpowered box, so we thought we’d show you what it’s all about so you can go subscribe and get your own! (Or maybe win one here at Honey’s! 😉 More on that below).
The Crate
The “Premium” Japan Crates always come with 15 full-size Japanese candies & snacks, a collectible bonus item, a Japan-exclusive drink, and a custom manga-zine with translations, contests and more; and the Fumination collab My Hero Academia crate is no exception. Besides coming in a pretty sweet, sturdy box covered in all our favorite BokuAca characters, it’s literally stuffed and bursting with all kinds of oishii and sugoi stuff!
On the Inside
Each treat inside the crate is more delicious than the last and will make you feel like you’re acquiring your own quirk! Especially with this month’s drink, which is called Lifeguard and has all kinds of things like vitamins and amino acids to keep you going and have all the energy you need, no matter what challenges you face. One challenge you won’t face is running out of snacks anytime soon! There’s even some Lifeguard flavored gum in there!
The goodies include everything from different types of potato chips, fizzy candy, umaibo, gum, other sweets like sugar rusks, and even taiyaki! The treats are all shipped straight from Japan so you’re getting the latest snacks all the cool kids are eating in Japan.
Our Umaibo is hamburger flavored (everyone knows that’s what heroes eat), we got some smoked cheese potato sticks, and even a bag of super crunchy, sugary rusks. Which are basically like sweet croutons and are delicious!
The crate even gets your creative juices flowing with a DIY kit! For what you ask? To make gummies! You can’t get any fresher than just-made gummies. And keeping with the superhero theme, these gummies are hamburger themed too!
As if all that wasn’t enough, the My Hero Academia premium crate also brings BokuAca fans and Japan Crate subscribers exclusive My Hero Academia artwork, illustrated booklet and a limited edition collectible pin featuring a hero from the franchise. We got Deku!! Lucky~!
