Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii Preview (No Spoilers)

Narumi, Hirotaka, Hanako and Kabakura all might look like hard working adults at first glance, but behind that façade lies an unseen truth. These four are all about the otaku and gaming life! By day, they must endure the brutal life that is adulthood but during their days off and at night, these 4 let themselves go. Besides managing their love for games, manga and anime, they also must deal with their relationships they are in and that adds to their already heavy plates. Can these four brave souls deal with the trials and tribulations of life? Find out in Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii!

Narumi Momose Highlights

1. Too Darn Cute

Narumi Momose might not be the hottest girl around, but she is pretty cute and it’s something others have said in Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii. Kabakura has stated not once but several times how Narumi can be cute and her boyfriend Hirotaka has agreed in his own mind. Needless to say, despite being a super otaku, Narumi keeps her cute appearance going for her and that is something we love about her.

2. An otaku to the core

As many of us love anime, we sometimes find it hard to meet others who are also otaku. If you need an otaku waifu though, Narumi has you covered as she is all about crying for characters who die in her favorite series and arguing about who should be shipped together. This trait makes Narumi so relatable and a girl we wish was real.

3. Has some peculiar otaku loves

Outside of being an otaku, Narumi also shows off some other loves that we don’t see too often in anime girls. Narumi is considered a fujoshi—or those who love boys love/yaoi—and that makes this girl even more special in our minds. As fans of all things anime, we love anyone who can appreciate the less beloved sub genres of anime and manga.

4. Tries as a girlfriend

We’re not going to say Narumi is a perfect girlfriend, in fact she’s pretty meh as a girlfriend in Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii. However, that doesn’t mean Narumi doesn’t at least try to be a girlfriend to Hirotaka. Narumi does care about the gamer obsessed Hirotaka and equally wishes to be noticed by him as well as go on dates with him. That just proves there is a good girlfriend in Narumi…somewhere.

5. Adult when she needs to be

While we all love anime and video games, there is a time where adulthood must come first and Narumi is the perfect example of this. Narumi might still watch anime—sometimes, even at work which we don’t recommend—and go to anime conventions, but she does realize working is important. That shows that Narumi knows when to be an adult and when to let loose and relax.

Final Thoughts

Narumi Momose might not be the perfect waifu when you first look at her and notice her strange traits and sometimes bad habits. Yet, Narumi is what we could see as a real-life otaku girl and that makes us love her even more. Dating Narumi might come with its ups and downs, but all relationships are like that and ultimately, Narumi is a girl that we know we could spend hours talking about all things anime with and not get bored in the process. Hey everyone I’m Aaron Curbelo or Blade as I’m called by my YouTube Subscribers. I’ve been an anime/manga fan since I was a young kid. In terms of anime I have watched nearly a thousand shows and have read hundreds of manga series. I love writing and honestly was so happy to join Honey’s Anime to get a shot to write articles for such a wonderful site. I’m a firm believer in respect in the anime community being the most important embodiment we should all have. We all love anime and we have varying opinions of series but we should respect one another for those differences! Life is too precious to spend it making needless arguments in a community that should be the shining example of loving an amazing medium. I hope as a writer for Honey’s Anime I can bring you folks some amazing articles to read and enjoy!
