Hideki Nishimura is a student at Maegasaki Prefectural High School and an avid MMORPG player. His favorite game is called Ledgendary Age. While playing that game one day, he confessed his feelings to someone who he thought was a girl, but was actually a boy! What a shock! Ever since that moment, he was sworn to keep his real life and game life separate. He enjoys playing in his new guild. Until one day when a character named “Ako” confesses to him. Hesitant because he was burned in the past, he slowly accepts her as his in-game girlfriend and their characters get married. Now the guildmaster has told him that he has decided to hold an offline meetup… What is in store for Hideki at this meetup??

Hideki Nishimura (Lucian)

Hideki is the main character of the series. He is a first year student at Maegasaki High School. He is an otaku who loves online games, so he goes home after school instead of participating in club activities. He has been traumatized by an event in his past when he confessed to a girl in a game. He plays the MMORPG Legendary Age as Lucian. He’s an Armored Knight in game and is a member of the guild Alley Cats. Hideki is the main defender of his group. Ako, a fellow guild member, confesses to him in game, and they have their characters get married online. In reality though, they both attend the same school and Hideki wants to help her so he works hard with his friends Akane and Kyou to help her while at the same time, deepening their own relationship.

Ako Tamaki (Ako)

Ako is also a first year student at Maegasaki High School. She also plays Ledgendary Age, but she uses the same name “Ako” for her online persona. Ako is a cleric in game and a member of the Alley Cats. She confessed her feelings to Hideki and they had their characters get married in game. She is very lonely in real life and stays home from school. However she has good style. Even though she meets Hideki in real life, she still calls him Lucian. She cannot separate reality from her online life and still acts as his wife in real life. She speaks with no problem to her family and her online friends, but she has a communication disorder in real life so she tends to avoid talking to others heavily.

Akane Segawa (Schwein)

Akane is a classmate of Hideki and a first year student at Maegasaki High School. She has twin pigtails and hates otaku. In reality though, she actually does play online games and hides it from those around her. Her online character in Legendary Age is Schwein. Schwein is a sword dancer and a member of Alley Cats. Schwein himself is actually a boy so really she is a girl pretending to be a boy. She was shocked when she learned from the guildmaster tthat her name , Schwein, was actually “pig” in German. Her home computer is slow and doesn’t have good specs, so when there are events, she plays in a club room.

Kyou Goshouin (Apricot)

Kyou is a second year student at Maegasaki High School. She is the daughter of one of the directors of the school and she is the student council president. She is idolized by the student body and brimming with confidence, so due to her unprecedented words and deeds, she doesn’t really have any friends. Online though, her name is Apricot and she is a Wizard. She also is a member of Alley Cats. At the offline meeting, she decided to help facilitate the “Net Games Club” so that they could play even at school. Because her family is quite rich, she likes to charge others for things in the game, and Akane and Hideki often chide her about it.
