- An additional cast of the TV anime "Gunjou no Fanfare" has been announced. Chiaki Kobayashi will appear in the role of Maki Sakai.
- "Gunjou no Fanfare," which will air in the Spring of 2022, is a youth ensemble drama that depicts boys aiming to become jockeys at a horse racing school. Sakai is a 15-year-old from Fukushima prefecture, who was taken to the racetrack by his grandfather at an early age, became a horse racing enthusiast—and his enthusiasm hit the gates of the horse racing school. A bright and solid hard worker, he is a data-type horse racing nerd who remembers all the results of major races in the past. Kobayashi's comments are posted below.
