- The Japanese netisphere was duped for a few short days when a video, claiming to be an announcement for a new Neon Genesis Evangelion, was uploaded on YouTube.
- However, even with the skillful animation, almost-accurate lettering, and official look of the video, not everyone was fooled, and it was finally announced today that it was indeed fake.
- The video has now been removed, but you can see some of the stills below, along with the not-so-happy Japanese public's reaction.

There's no way we'd get a new eva so fast. Wait until 2020, then maybe we'll get a real announcement.
