New Trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road and Two Anime Like It

Warner Bros. UK had released a new trailer to public for the upcoming movie, Mad Max: Fury Road! If you are a huge Mad Max fan and loved the epic scenes of a post-apocalyptic world filled will death, crime, survival and revenge. Then this is a trailer you don't want to miss! Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth installment to the Mad Max series from the original writer and director, George Miller.

A little history on Mad Max, there are three previous movies total which gave birth to an epic original storyline in movies, and soon following a favorable post-apocalyptic genre in the world of anime. The first movie of Mad Max took place in a time of conservation for resources, the world had almost depleted all of its fuel and is going through an energy crisis. With this, outlaws were born and began defying the those around them, including the law. For they were causing chaos and disorder to stay alive, major cities were still functioning, but others in the outskirts saw this horror creep up on them. Max, was in a police force organized to find these outlaws and bring them to justice.

In the process of finding these outlaws, Max's partner was found seriously injured by burns from gas explosion while trapped in a car. Filling with rage, he goes on a vacation leave to calm down, unfortunately, during his leave his wife and son come across the ones that burnt his partner and then pursued to harass them. What began as a chase turned into a tragic scene, and Max showing up a little too late. As his son dieing instantly and his wife dieing in his arms, began the the hunt for revenge turned seeker of peace.

Thats just the first movie, the second movie, Mad Max 2: Road Warrior, goes further into the post-apocalyptic world with survivors rummaging and pillaging where ever they go. He comes across an out-post of people who have a working oil pump, producing fuel for others to survive. Until a gang of outlaws discover the out-post and threaten their lives, Max is there to offer his services of defense for price of fuel. It doesn't turn out great, almost everyone survives but the compound is destroyed. But at least the outlaws were eradicate.

The third movie, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, continues the story with Max trying to survive and then being stripped of all his belonging, including his awesome center of attention car. He comes across a compound that uses him for his skills and in return they exile him in the outbacks of Australia, while riding a horse, blind folded, shackled and in an unknown destination. When he breaks free, he comes across a tribe of survivors, mostly children, and they see him as a savior who will save them. While saving them, he comes across a man and his son who have a plane that can take the tribe away, under pressure from outlaws pursuing them, the plane is too heavy and max sacrifices his safety and jumps out of the plane. This is where the fourth movie is to continue from, Max is spared by the outlaws out of pity, and he is then to wonder the desert seeking peace.


When thinking about this movie, two anime series come to mind, Fist of the North Star and Casshern Sins!

We'll start with Fist of the North Star or Hokuto no Ken in Japanese, which seems like it was based off the Mad Max movie. This anime is a classic! It follows a warrior named, Kenshiro, in a post-apocalyptic world who knows a style of martial arts that is deadly to the touch, Literally. Kenshiro vows to protect the weak from those seeking to take advantage of them in the most heinous ways. As he battles with many groups and organizations of outlaws, He finds out that the only way to bring peace to the land is if he faces a foe from his past. Of course, he finds and defeats the dictator of evil, bringing relief and happiness to everyone, everywhere.

Casshern Sins

The other anime that is somewhat similar to Mad Max is, Casshern Sins. Casshern Sins is the remake of Casshan in 1973, but with a more post-apocalyptic feel than the original. In the show, Casshern is a cyborg in a world where robots develop self awareness and begin to question humanity. Casshern was a subordinate of a robot leader named Braiking Boss who sent him along with three others to assassinate a mysterious girl named, Luna, who was to bring piece and salvation to mankind. Doing this, he loses his memory of the acts he's committed, and sets off a series of events that brings a disastrous fate to the world.

The air is tainted with poison and the Earth is destroyed as the robots rule, leaving humans to suffer at the edge of extinction. Although, the same fate begins to happen to the robots, with their mechanical bodies rusting and corroding, their awareness causes fear in search of replacing the deteriorating parts. It is during this time that Casshern seeks to find out who he is and his purpose in life while achieving peace for everyone in the world of devastation in which he caused.
