Recently things you don't hear about often or stuff that has lost popularity is starting to get a resurgence. Dagashi Kashi is another great example of this.

Oh yeah. Local series and hobbies are starting to get anime or manga which pushes them back into the spotlight and... wait a second... Gakuto Fujiwara?! He's the seiyuu for Asta. Bye. I'm so done.

There's no need to be so dramatic Bee-kun. Watch a few episodes. Maybe he...has... *pfft* gotten better... at acting... *tee hee*.

Synopsis

Kamizuki has to move from Chiba Prefecture to Gunma Prefecture. During the moving process, he looks up Gunma Prefecture online and what he found online was nothing but terrifying information.

"The final unexplored region left on Earth."

Just what kind of place is Gunma Prefecture? What is about to happen to him…?

Three Episode Impression

As far as anime shorts go, Omae wa mada Gunma wo Shiranai has to be the goofiest this season. Taking us away from the usual setting of Tokyo, we head to the Gunma prefecture, which is in the countryside several hours away from Tokyo. Since we’re in the countryside, this anime really takes this chance to mock the people there and state how alien it is and how suspicious this rather small community is. It’s somewhat entertaining to watch them as they take this outsider and try to figure out what he wants or if he’s a spy. Omae wa mada Gunma wo Shiranai isn’t outright hilarious, but it’s somewhat entertaining to see what jokes the anime studio makes at the expense of the people in Gunma. Is it a recommendation worthy anime? Hardly, but it’s short and it doesn’t hurt to watch to say the absolute least.

Otoya is another main character of this story. He’s the class representative and he has red hair, wears glasses, and sports a scarf.

Kyou Shinooka

Kyou is the heroine of this story and a classmate of Nori’s. Her nickname is ‘Shinocchi.’ She also works as the leader of the JKJ group. She’s got a lovely face and body with a lively personality. She hates boys and is always nice to girls.
