This story is set in a fictional world where humans have developed giant robotic weapons called Jaeger to intercept kaiju (monsters) that emerge from the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.
As Australia is attacked by kaiju and people across the continent are being evacuated, two stranded siblings—Taylor and Hayley—learn how to fly an old, abandoned Jaeger and set out on a desperate journey to find their missing parents.
