What You Need to Know:
- Today marks the 22nd anniversay of Pocket Pikachu, a hybrid device that's both a health checker and a tamagotchi, which is quite the nostalgic item which released March 27, 1998. According to the official website, it says the more the user walks, Pocket Pikachu will record all of the movement, which is then used to feed Pikachu. Typically, Tamagotchi toys would encourage users to constantly babysit their egg and tend to it whenever it gets hungry, but with Pocket Pikachu it's your own movement that supplies nutrients over time. If you owned a Game Boy Color along with either Pokemon Gold or Silver, you can transfer data between devices to earn special items.
- So pretty much if you don't work, Pikachu will pretty much grow weak and frail which will likely cause you stress since come on, who wants to see Pikachu suffer?!
- Growing up in the 90's the Tamagotchi was an incredibly hot item, with literally everyone owning at least one or more of the devices. It became an addiction for many, including ourselves, and Nintendo caught onto the buzz which then gave birth to this iconic device!
