Hailing from the Kingdom of Manaria, is the cheerful princess Anne. Grea is quiet, bashful, half-dragon princess. Starting from the moment that they meet, they begin their school lives at the Manaria Academy of Magic.

Watching the day-to-day adventures of Anne and Grea is a relaxing experience. The series is episodic, not based off of any consistent plot. Manaria Friends is set in the same world as the classic Rage of Bahamut anime, but this spin-off only seems to reflect that in the gorgeous, detailed animation and the world it encompasses. The show is a tribute to the world that fans love so much, with a much more relaxed exploration of the setting. Manaria Friends doesn’t have much in the way of character development or story plot, but the animation and relaxed atmosphere makes up for any lack of true adventure. For those looking for a show to just simply enjoy at the end of the day, you should try out this anime!

Anne

Voice Actor: Youko Hikasa

Anne is an honors student who is a princess hailing from the Manaria Kingdom at the Manaria Academy of Magic. She holds incredible magic potential and is able to conjure up the spirits of great dead men. She is bright and has a great sense of justice. With her large personality and her overflowing charisma, she is able to attract a great many people. However, she is somewhat ignorant of how society works, so she has her sudden moments as well.

Grea

Voice Actor: Ayaka Fukuhara

Grea was born half dragon and half human. Since she had not become used to living in the dragons nest, she decided to come to the Manaria Academy of Magic and live among humans. At first, she has a complex about her body and the way she looks, but as she spends time with Anne, she begins to overcome it.

Hanna

Voice Actor: Nana Mizuki

Hanna is the student council president at Manaria Academy of Magic. She loves her academy deeply and has such a strong sense of responsibility that she cares deeply for many students. She has a great amount of pride in herself, and that is only bolstered by her ability to get things done. However, she also has a private side where she does not dare say what she is thinking.

Owen

Voice Actor: Wataru Hatano

Owen is an Imperial Knight and has joined the Manaria Academy of Magic because he is Anne’s personal bodyguard. He is extremely dedicated and a bit inflexible. However, his feelings for Anne are real. He is currently studying the art of Magic Swords at the Academy.

Luu

Voice Actor: Kimiko Koyama

Luu says '~desuu' often and is a natural airheaded first year new student. She befriended a deamon (An Ahiraman) that fell from the sky. She is still learning how to use magic properly, but she has a bright and friendly personality, and she is enjoying her life greatly at the Academy.

Miranda

Voice Actor: Kikuko Inoue

Miranda is a professor at the Manaria Academy of Magic. She is a holy magic instructor. Miranda has a peculiar way of speaking and a quirky personality, but she is concerned about her students. Her hobby is making clothes and as such, her office is filled with various suspicious costumes.

William

Voice Actor: Yuuma Uchida

William is a student at Manaria Academy of Magic. He is an honors student as well as he helps out as a library assistant. However, when he’s in a hurry, his hometown dialect slips out.

Heinlein

Voice Actor: Chiharu Sawashiro

Heinlein is a professor at Manaria Academy of Magic and his specialty is dark magic. An expert on it, he remains calm regardless of the situation.

Jill

Voice Actor: Hiroshi Naka

Jill is currently a professor at Manaria Academy of Magic even at his current old age. His specialty is the theoretic fundamentals of magic. Jill has a friendly personality and gently guides his students.
