A young engineer named Derrida Yvain became famous thanks to his contribution to the development of the "Autonomous Machine DZ" at Rebuild, the manufacturing company founded by his father. One day, Derrida and his colleague Nathan discover a flaw in the “DZs” and try to warn their boss, but they are ignored.

Although Derrida and Nathan are aware of the danger, they reluctantly decide to put off taking any measures, and instead go to Nathan's daughter Mage's birthday party. The next day, after enjoying a peaceful time together, Derrida and Nathan are suddenly attacked by unknown forces. At the end of the escape, Derrida falls into a cold sleep machine, and 10 years later, he wakes up to a devastated world in the middle of a war. While Derrida is attacked by a group of out of control DZs, he almost gives up, but he recall's Nathan's last words.

"Take care of Mage."

Despite the harsh fate that has fallen upon him, Derrida sets off to seek Mage.

ReRideD –Derrida, who leaps through time–

The story seemed a lot like Steins;Gate, but it’s really not like it when you actually do watch it for better or worse. It does feel a bit like GARO -Vanishing Line- with the car and mercenaries. It’s future dystopia set about to throw the viewer into chaos and confusion as we try to learn more. Overall, the story is good enough to keep watching even if the art is nothing to write home about at all.

Mage Bilstein

Mage is the daughter of Derrida’s best friend, Nathan. She respects the research that her father and Derrida carried out. She is very wise and strong-willed.

Yuri Dietrich

Voice Actor: Himika Akaneya

Yuri is the same age as Mage and has been her best friend since they were little. She has a bright personality, and her hobby is photography.

Vidaux Volker

Voice Actor: Tetsuo Sasaki

Vidaux is a freelance work contractor who is called ‘Destruct’. He happens to save Derrida by chance when he is attacked by the self-autonomous machine DZ.

Mayuka

Voice Actor: Kaede Hondo

Mayuka is Vidaux’s daughter. She tends to go everywhere with him and loves reading books.

Graham

Voice Actor: Kazutomi Yamamoto

Graham is an AI navigation system installed in the customized vehicle that Vidaux owns. Normally, Graham is in charge of navigation and firearms, but in cases of emergencies, it can also take over driving.

Donna

Donna is another freelance work contractor known as ‘Destruct’. She is an assassin. After accepting an assignment from Hans Andrei, she is after Derrida’s life.

Nathan Bilstein

Nathan is an engineer who works at Rebuild Company and is Derrida’s best friend. He lives together with his daughter Mage.
