Shuchiin Academy is home to the best and brightest students around. Student council president Miyuki Shirogane is the top ranked student Vice president Kaguya Shinomiya is not only amazing at everything she does, but she also a member of one of the richest families in Japan. Despite having feelings for one another, Miyuki and Kaguya are unable to confess their feelings thanks to their pride. Now, Miyuki and Shirogane have turned the student council room into a battlefield where they fight in the name of love.

1. The Comedy
Both of these series have a large focus on their romantic aspects, but instead of using it for a typical romance story, they use it mostly for comedy. The way Miyuki and Kaguya interact with each other is sort of a mix between a couple of the relationships seen in Nijiiro Days. The result is an anime that brings you all the laughs of from Nijiiro Days while putting a twist on the comedy with ridiculous setups to make it even better.
2. Quirky Characters
If you loved all of the interesting and hilarious characters In Nijiiro days you will enjoy the characters in Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen. Miyuki and Kaguya are both fantastic characters that have some hilarious personalities. Even better than the two of them however is Chika, a character that will surprise you at every turn and brings so much comedy to the series.

Fuutarou Uesugi and his family have fallen on hard times and he takes it upon himself to try to earn some money to help his father out. Fuutarou decides to put his study skills to use and gets a job tutoring the daughters of a wealthy businessman. Unfortunately, the five girls have no desire to study and find any excuse to slack off. With the girls needing to graduate for him to get paid, Fuutarou must put all his skills to the test as he finds a way to get each of the girls to study.
Major Similarities Between Nijiiro Days (Rainbow Days) and Gotoubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets)
1. Character Balance
Often times when an anime has a large cast of characters it easy for some of the characters get overshadowed. Nijiiro Days found a nice balance with the characters, giving all of the main boys and the love interests plenty of development and screen time. Gotoubun no Hanayome also has a nice balance, with all six of the main character being fun and incredibly likable.
2. Colorful Visuals
If you enjoyed the visuals in Nijiiro Days than you will love the visuals in Gotobun no Hanayo even more. Both anime have very colorful art styles. The backgrounds are all bright and enjoyable, while the character designs look interesting and really catch your eye
