Rutger Hauer to star in cyberpunk horror >observer_ releasing on August 15!

• Bladerunner star Rutger Hauer will be making his gaming appearance in the upcoming cyberpunk horror story >observer_, which is slated to release August 15th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. He'll be taking on the role of Detective Daniel Lazarski, an elite neural detective with the authority to hack and invade suspects’ minds.

What is >observer_ ?

The year is 2084. If you somehow survived the Nanophage, odds are you were killed in the War. Those who live have turned to drugs, VR, neural implants — anything to distract themselves from this new reality. You are Daniel Lazarski, an elite neural detective known as an Observer, and part of a corporate-funded police unit whose purpose is to hack and invade suspects’ minds. In this future, anything you think, feel, or remember can be used against you in a court of law.

When you receive a mysterious message from your estranged son, a high-level engineer for the almighty Chiron Corporation, you journey to the seedy Class C slums of Krakow to investigate. After watching that trailer I'm actually very intrigued to know more about Dan and his past, and just why he was chosen to take the lead.

I've always been a fan of the psychological horror type of games, since they tend to really test the mind and often times create a very stimulating experience.
