Yaichi Kuzuryuu is the holder of the most powerful title within the Shogi world known as Ryuuou (Dragon King). This third grader that has just pushed her way into Yaichi’s house is Ai Hinazuru and she is 9 years old.

Ai is an extremely saucy elementary school student and the daughter of a well-to-do family. Yaichi has been requested to take her on as one of his disciples.

Ginko Sora

Ginko is a female middle school student who has successfully become a student of Keika’s before Yaichi. She has won two prizes as a professional female shogi player.

Keika Kiyotaki

Voice Actor: Ai Kayano

Keika is Yaichi’s teacher and is the daughter of an 8 dan Kiyotaki. She is a well-respected woman.

Mio Mizukoi

Mio is a friend of Ai. She is a lively and sporty third grader.

Ayano Sadatou

Ayano is also a friend of Ai’s and has a serious, well-to-do air about her. A third grade elementary school student.

Charlotte is also a friend of Ai’s. She’s six years old and goes to a school for French people. She’s cute.
