Discussion Time

After a few explosive and action-packed chapters of Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den, we were glad the 30th chapter was a bit calmer and focused on the issues on the ground versus up in space. The federation Hachimaru and Daruma have been working with have joined the fight and aren’t shy from showing distrust for Kotsuga. Even at Hachimaru’s word, they feel once a threat, always a threat. Luckily, Sen the Silence from the Elite Special Forces—don’t be alarmed if it seems like a dozen people showed up pretty quickly in this chapter we noticed too—makes his appearance and merely wants all the info about Benki from Kotsuga.

Meanwhile, the planet our heroes are on might not be around for long as evil ole Ben is waiting to blast it with his ship into dust! Just to show how he could accomplish such as Task, the federation shows a video from a planet previously blown up using Angular Warheads which Benki has a ton of on his ship. A plan is established to have several teams infiltrate the ship and take down Ben from within. Ryu and Kotsuga have a long talk—as they fly towards the ship—with Ryu realizing that no matter what Kotsuga’s past was like he’s still a good person on the inside.

Kotsuga decides to remove his new name and wishes to be referred to as Sanda which leads to some truly laugh out loud moments as Ryu continues to forget the new name even after hearing it several times! Sanda makes a vow to our forgetful friend to learn of his past no matter what and the teams continue their assault towards Ben’s ship. Ben in the meantime is readying for his onslaught so our samurai only have 20 minutes—20 long minutes—to save the day and the planet! We almost felt chapter 30 of Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den was a weak chapter but as we read it and saw the humor being used, we decided that there won’t be any complaints from us here at Honey’s Anime.

Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den 30th chapter works well towards an epic confrontation and we’re itching to see it! Here’s why you too should be checking out Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den chapter 30 as soon as possible!

Why You Should Read Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den (Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru) Chapter 30

1. Planed Assault

Daruma might have wished for Hachimaru to go at Benki alone but thankfully our new samurai is getting some back up. While we don’t doubt Hachimaru’s skills, Ben is a truly scary and evil foe. Doubting his cruel nature or his power might lead to a truly devestating result.

2. Sanda’s Return

Kotsuga has thrown his new name out for the original—Sanda—which led to some truly heartfelt comedy near the end of Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den chapter 30. We now hope Ryu will remember his partner’s name…If not we’re sure the duo are going to be at each other’s throats soon enough!

Final Thoughts

Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den 30 at first seemed a little off-putting in comparison to the last few chapters. As we read it though we realized this calm comedy was needed to truly take away from the fact that Benki is primed to take down an entire planet in a mere few moments! The challenges ahead for these warriors is about to begin once they infiltrate Ben’s ship but together they will beat his behind down and we’ll be sitting here waiting for that beatdown!
