Synopsis

This is the 2nd season of "Seirei Gensouki" (Spirit Chronicles).

A young boy who has memories of two lives - a past life and his current life - has to face his destiny!!
Rio became an orphan as a child after his mother was killed, and ever since has had to do whatever he could to survive in the slums.
One day, the memories of Haruto Amakawa, a boy who dreamed of reuniting with his childhood friend, but died before he could do so, and strange magical powers awaken within Rio as he's reborn into a parallel world where swords and magic are necessary to stay alive.

While in the new world he helps to solve a mystery involving the kidnapping of princesses, leading to the chance to enroll in a famous school where all the students are children of nobles...

In this world of ranks, Rio starts at the bottom and here he will have to experience new encounters and departures to face his cruel destiny!

Rio: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka

Rio is a young boy who lives in a poor city in the Beltram Kingdom. When he’s 7 years old the memories of university student Haruto Amakawa, who suddenly died in an accident, awaken within him. While dealing with Haruto’s memories Rio ends up involved in an incident and as a result of that is enrolled in a royal academy. Due to the memories of Haruto, Rio starts acting more mature than his age, taking on a rational approach to things. However the callous part of Rio, stemming from growing up under such harsh circumstances, is often in conflict with Haruto’s common sense from growing up in modern Japan.

Celia Claire: Akane Fujita

Celia is just 12 years old, but she works as a lecturer at the academy. She’s the daughter of an earl but even so she doesn’t have any prejudice towards Rio and is very kind and acts with him normally. She’s the only one Rio can be himself around. Celia comes off as a calm and closeted young girl when she’s quiet, but she’s actually quite straightforward and has a cute and cheerful, age-appropriate side to her, as well.

Aishia: Yuki Kuwahara

Aisha has sometimes appeared before Rio ever since he got Haruto’s memories. She’s a very strange figure. She’s more beautiful than any other person, and she has something of a magical air to her. She teaches Rio how to use his magic whenever he’s close to danger. She doesn’t seem to have any memories and she doesn’t even know who or what she is. She doesn’t speak much and she always seems to be sleepy.

Latifa: Tomori Kusunoki

Latifa is a young fox beastkin girl, who works as a slave in the noble Huguenot family. Due to her kin she has a lot of physical abilities, and she was ordered by her owners to assassinate Rio. She wears a slave collar which forces her to follow orders, and thus she always pushes down her personal feelings and thoughts.

Miharu Ayase: Sayaka Harada

Miharu was Haruto’s childhood friend and his first love. When they were young, they promised to marry each other but when her family had to move they became separated. Eventually they would join the same high school, but then Miharu went missing and they never met again. She is a very sweet and considerate girl who has a strong sense of self, though she is a bit of a shut-in.

Christina Beltrum: Sayumi Suzushiro

Christina is the first queen of the Bertram Kingdom. She’s a brilliant woman who excels in everything she does. As a member of the royal family, she has a strong sense of responsibility, but she’s also very proud and is sometimes harsh to Rio, who although talented, is still a commoner. She holds her sister dear.

Flora Beltrum: Kaede Hondo

Flora is a princess of the Bertram Kingdom and Christina’s younger sister. Her personality is the complete opposite of her sister; she’s timid, but also gentle and empathizes with people easily. She’s good at healing magic. She’s saved Rio in the past and, with them being enrolled in the same academy, she’s very curious about him.
