What You Need to Know:
- Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired the third season of Bushiroad’s battling band series BanG Dream! for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Latin America and Central America.
- Studio SANZIGEN (BanG Dream!) will produce the series while Kohdai Kakimoto (BanG Dream! 2nd Season) returns to direct and Yuniko Ayana (FLIP FLAPPERS) provides series composition. The series stars Aimi (Hentai Prince & the Stony Cat) as Kasumi Toyama of Poppin’Party, Aina Aiba (Revue Starlight) as Yukina Minato of Roselia and vocalist Raychell as Layer of RAISE A SUILEN. The series will be available to stream on select digital outlets in Winter 2020 with a home video release to follow.
- The girl-powered bands are gigging again. That means Poppin’Party and other fan favorites are set to return for an all new season of BanG Dream! Now that Kasumi and the rest of Poppin’Party are taking charge of their own show, the sky’s the limit for their rockin’ musical ambitions and dreams of stardom. But they’ll have to contend with other bands looking for their big break, and their friendship will be put to the ultimate test as they rock their way to the top of the charts!
