Sentai to Spend “Doomsday with My Dog” Beginning Summer 2022
Sentai announced that it acquired exclusive rights to Doomsday with My Dog (Sekai no Owari ni Shiba Inu to), an animated web-comic that brings to life Yu Ishihara’s hilarious 4-koma manga series serialized by ComicWalker. Sentai will stream the animated comic shorts on its direct-to-consumer streaming service, HIDIVE, in Summer 2022.
The sole surviving human and her canine companion, Haru, wander a desolate wasteland after the destruction of civilization, but this is no dark doomsday tale. Haru, a wise-beyond-his-years talking shiba inu, makes sure his master stays one step ahead of post-apocalyptic pessimism with his clever antics, hilarious observations and philosophical ponderings. She may be the last girl on earth, but with Haru at her side, the road through the apocalypse will never be boring!
The animated comic, which lends spirited voice-work to the always arresting manga panels fans know and love, is directed by Aoi Shimoyama (GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka) with general supervision by Sorosoro Tanigawa (Taeko no Nichijou). The series stars Mutsumi Tamura (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) as Haru, the talking shiba inu, and Maaya Uchida (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!) as Haru’s master, the last survivor of the human race.
The series will premiere exclusively on HIDIVE in Summer 2022.
Sentai Unveils “Vermeil in Gold” Fantasy Anime for Summer 2022
Sentai announced that it acquired exclusive rights to Vermeil in Gold, the anime adaptation of the cheeky fantasy-comedy manga of the same name published in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine. Sentai will stream Vermeil in Gold exclusively on HIDIVE during the Summer 2022 simulcast season.
Meet Alto, a hapless student at Royal Ortigia Magic Academy whose academic performance leaves much to be desired. Rather than take a more sensible approach to salvaging his grades in time for graduation, Alto decides to summon a bit of otherworldly assistance. Only after does he learn he’s bound the legendary she-devil Vermeil into service as his familiar! But while Vermeil is a powerful ally sure to turn his grades around, her magic can only be replenished with a kiss, and that makes everything go to hell with Alto’s jealous childhood friend, Lilia. Looks like Alto just unleashed a whole new world of devilish mayhem in Vermeil in Gold: A Desperate Magician Barges Into the Magical World Alongside the Strongest Calamity!
The series is animated by Staple Entertainment (Val x Love) with Takashi Naoya (Val x Love, Real Girl, Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won't Lose) serving as director. Tatsuya Takahashi (Domestic Girlfriend, Hayate the Combat Butler!!, Wise Man’s Grandchild) provides series composition. The series stars Yuya Hirose (Val x Love, O Maidens in Your Savage Season, SSSS.Gridman) as Alto Goldfield and Maaya Uchida (Domestic Girlfriend, Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions!, Noragami) as Vermeil.
Vermeil in Gold: A Desperate Magician Barges Into the Magical World Alongside the Strongest Calamity will premiere exclusively on HIDIVE in Summer 2022 with a home video release to follow.
Sentai Summons “My Isekai Life” for Summer 2022
Sentai announced that it acquired exclusive rights to My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World!, the genre-bending fantasy anime series based on the light novel of the same name. Sentai will stream the series exclusively on HIDIVE this Summer 2022 simulcast season.
Getting isekai’d to a magical world and developing incredible powers is every otaku’s wildest dream, but for salaryman Yuji Sano, it’s the stuff of absolute nightmare! He’s in the middle of a mountain of work when he gets unwillingly pulled into a fantasy realm, where he accomplishes the enviable feat of developing a second character class by making the most of his Monster Tamer abilities. Now he’s traded the office for adventuring to make a living, but he keeps getting roped into major events because his powers are unmatched, second to none — and he doesn't even realize it yet!
Produced by studio Revoroot (Babylon, FLCL Alternative, I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level), the series is directed by Keisuke Kojima (animation director for Kill la Kill and One Punch Man) with series composition from Naohiro Fukushima (Eden of the East, The Daughter of 20 Faces). The series stars Chiaki Kobayashi (Vinland Saga, SK8 the Infinity, Moriarty the Patriot) as Yuji Sano, Azumi Waki (Ao-chan Can't Study!, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, Blend S) as Dryad and Wataru Takagi (Obsolete, Detective Conan, Great Teacher Onizuka) as Proud Wolf.

Sentai Snaps Up “League of Nations Air Force Aviation Magic Band Luminous Witches” for Summer 2022
Sentai announced that it acquired exclusive rights to musical mecha series League of Nations Air Force Aviation Magic Band Luminous Witches, the standalone spin-off of Strike Witches. Sentai will premiere the series exclusively on HIDIVE, its direct-to-consumer streaming service, during the Summer 2022 simulcast season.
The war against invading aliens can’t be won by missiles alone! Team morale matters just as much as launching a counterassault, and that’s where Ginny and her friends come in. Instead of standing on the front lines with the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, the Luminous Witches of the League of Nations Air Force bring smiles to civilians displaced in the human-Neuroi war world with thrilling song and dance — not to mention aerial displays the likes of which the music world has never seen! While they might be non-combatants, these performers know the value of preserving the people’s smiles, and they’ll fight in their unique way to make sure those smiles never fade.
Based on the original story created by Fumikane Shimada and Projekt World Witches, the series is animated by studio SHAFT (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, March Comes in Like a Lion, Bakemonogatari) with direction and series composition from Shoji Saeki (Medaka Box, episode director for FLCL and Cardcaptor Sakura). Humikane Shimada (Frame Arms Girl, Girls und Panzer der Film, Girls und Panzer) provides original character design.
The series stars Mai Narumi as Virginia Robertson, Minako Hosokawa as Inori Shibuya, Ami Aimoto as Lyudmila Andreyevna Ruslanova, Ryo Mamiya as Aira Paivikki Linnamaa, Sayaka Tsuduki as Eleonore Giovanna Gassion, Kana Konaka as Maria Magdalene Dietrich, Misaki Yuki as Manaia Matawhaura Hato, Rino Yoshikita as Silvie Cariello, and Rio Mamesaki as Joanna Elizabeth Stafford.
